Ailsa Craig was a 601grt defensively-armed British Merchantship. On the 15th April 1918 when 13 miles W by N from Portland Bill she was torpedoed without warning and sunk by submarine UB-80 when on passage from Cardiff for Granville with a cargo of coal.
